From all other insects, they are easily distinguished by their elongated body and three antennae on the tail.
Silverfish appear exclusively from constant humidity and come through ventilation and cracks in the walls.
Any biological waste serves as food for the insect: mold, toilet paper, skin particles, they love floor rags and all kinds of bedding made of natural materials. Despite their lifestyle, they do not spread infection, and are absolutely harmless to humans.
Despite this, they do not belong in the home - therefore, they still need to be disposed of ("handy" is also the fact that they reproduce in small numbers: therefore, it is enough to destroy adult individuals, and new ones will not appear soon (yes, and they rarely crawl out into the light: mainly hiding under the bath, in the seams of tiles and other hidden places).
Getting rid of silverfish is very simple, it is enough to eliminate the cause of high humidity, whether it is a dripping tap or poor ventilation, so it is necessary to seal all possible cracks where insects can accumulate, do not store floor rags in a damp state. After such actions, there will be no trace of silverfish...
In addition, insecticidal preparations for cockroaches and other household insects (FAS, Iskra, etc.) help well against their presence in the house.
